A medley of pics of Barnitz with two fellow Lutheran ministers who were close friends, taken 25 years apart. The first, taken in 1867, faces page 73, and features Rev. H. L. Baugher, Jr. ("Baughey"), Rev. J. G. Goettman, ("Getty"), and Rev. S. B. Barnitz ("Barney") —the latter name sin quotes being the actual affectionate nicknames used by this trio amongst themselves. (PARSON 176). The second faces page 82, and features Bauigher, Goettman, and Barnitz in 1895.
Taken in 1897, shows SBB in 1897, around the time PB was leaving Midland and entering the "Great World" at Harvard. Facing page 131.
